Performances This Week

I'm performing at some great venues this week. I've had a bit of a vacation so I'm very excited to get back into the circuit.  On Wednesday, I am performing a three hour set at Mellow Mushroom in Fleming Island, FL from 9-12 on their nice and spacious patio. Not only is their food wonderful but their staff in incredibly friendly. You will always leave this restaurant with a smile on your face.  I'm also performing Friday at The Grape at the St. Johns Town Center in Jacksonville, FL. Come check out this cozy wine bar if you want to start your weekend off right. I have a couple special things happening during that performance so you won't want to miss it.

Big Part of Team Rebecca Day: Meet freelancer Rebecca Wilson

Rebecca Wilson is a Florida freelancer with a
keen eye for the camera and a knack for
helping creatives make their dreams come true.

Rebecca Wilson is one of those multi-talented people who do many things well with a non-diva attitude. She can write. She's good at business matters. She is super good with a camera. And Wilson, who lives in Jacksonville, has become a big part of Team Rebecca Day.

Wilson has snapped many of the great photos Day uses on these pages and on social media like Facebook. Wilson has also assisted Day with publicizing her events, from creating press kits to going with Day in person to talk up management at different restaurants and bars.

Professional musicians soon learn it's worth adding other professionals to your team because that frees you to make music and create new works.

Besides the nuts and bolts of helping out with Day's gigs, promotions and photos, Wilson also has a knack for calming butterflies that can sometimes crop up when a musician is in a new venue and has no idea what to expect.

Every gig is a favorite place--that's how lucky I am to perform in venues with good food and nice people. Two of my top supporters, Joel Molotzak and Josh Nelson, came out to my gig at Mellow Mushroom on Fleming Island last Wednesday night.

I appreciate everyone who supports what I am trying to do. Another supporter snapped this photograph and I wanted to put it here and say, "Thanks, Joel and Josh!"

And big thanks to Joel for helping me unload and load my equipment!

We're here at Fleming Island at Mellow Mushroom--Rebecca's supporters are out for a Wednesday night of great music and what we think is the best white pizza in all of Jax. Lots of nice people here tonight--one special young lady is celebrating her 21st birthday. Others are just enjoying a really pleasant evening with a breeze that is perfect for sitting out on the deck.

We took some still shots and we'll have those up tomorrow; we're going to do some video too. Unfortunately we're running the laptop on the battery and the still shots were taking forever to upload.

Rebecca has done some originals ('What Am I Gonna Do' and 'Little Miss')--she'll do 'Until I Win' in the second set. She's waiting to do originals off her new CD until it comes out.

The Mellow Mushroom here is a great place to unwind. We're having a great time and Rebecca sounds fantastic.
